One of my absolute favorite places in Engadine, although not quite Graubünden, is in beautiful Muottas Muragl. The most beautiful view in the whole Engadine.

I walked high in the off-season (approx. 1-2 hours for those who don’t like sports) and athletic people can easily do it in half the time. I was an absolute “sports muffle” that day. Well, my excuse was the three-day hike that lasted 6 hours each. My legs didn’t want to take another step. But sitting still isn’t my thing either.
If you want to save time and travel. there is a cable car from Punt Muragl valley station to Muottas Muragl.
On the day I was there, the train didn’t run and the star restaurant was closed.

Muottas Muragl is a very popular place and is actually always very busy. if you would like to enjoy the view on your own, late October and up to mid-November is the perfect time to do so.
it is a beautiful place with a lot of history, a few steps from the station you will find the Senda Segantini 4 stage hike. of course, it is also on my bucket list for 2022.
I will be visiting Muottas again and again from now on and on my next visit, I will treat myself to a rose wine and enjoy the view in style.
Muottas is very easy to reach by train. from Samedan there is the train or the bus. and who comes by car. there are a few parking spaces but not many I would even recommend the public transport center more. no stress and good for the environment.
