THE BEST TWO MUSEUMS IN ZURICH

My top two favorite museums for this winter. They are perfect for escaping the winter cold in Switzerland.

to visit a museums can be very classic and boring. You quietly look at pictures, sculptures, or photographs. Some stimulate us and others are just dull and not timely.

Whatever the case, there are more and more museums that are not content with the classic show, but want to offer an experience. The best example is the Home of Chocolate and the Art Museum.

The Lindt Chocolate Museum

Enjoy, experience, and learn. A museum where adults become children and children become gourmet.

The first thing that amazes everyone is the largest chocolate fountain in the world. A fountain over nine meters high and 1500kg of the finest Swiss chocolate.

Why is a visit during Advent a must?!?

Lindt decorates the entrance and the shop perfectly for Christmas time. I immediately felt like I was in a film by Willy Wonka.

What I regret is not to have had a cup of hot chocolate in the cafe. But I wanted to treat myself after visiting the museum. But as expected, I had total chocolates.

After the museum, I made a detour to the shop and outlet.

PS: AT THE OUTLET, YOU CAN FIND CERTAIN PRODUCTS CHEAPER THAN IN THE SHOP.

PERFECT STORE TO FIND SOUVENIRS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

I learned a lot about the making and history of chocolate and everything without getting bored. And each highlight was followed by another.

My conclusion for all chocolate lovers, the museum should be on every of your chocolate bucket lists.

Honestly, I didn’t want to visit the museum at first. Because I found the representation of new artists too poor and the collector’s story is not really tenable. – To put it kindly.

But the curiosity was too great. The new works of art and installations are simply worth seeing and great.

The light installation convinced me. I could have wasted hours.

I felt like you were in a bewitching garden made up of lights.

The Awareness Art Exhibition was partly good, but it was not enough for me personally. I would have much preferred to see a bigger exhibition with more artists working with nature. It didn’t really show the gentleness of nature.

But that’s the only thing to complain about. I just expected more. After an opening.

Can the museum compete with others?!?

Mhmm, I think yes, but they could have risk a lot more.

But before I start talking too negatively. I would recommend the museum to anyone else, it is worth two or more visits.

PS: Especially the light installation !!!!
